Welcome to Anushanga Typing (sinhalatyping.anushanga.com). This policy explains what is processed locally and what happens when you choose to use voice typing.
Data Privacy & Processing
Typed-text conversion between Singlish, Unicode, FM Fonts, and ISI layouts happens locally inside your browser. Conversion text and saved/history items are not uploaded by the converter; saved items remain in your browser's local storage.
Voice typing is optional. In supported browsers, live recognition is provided by the browser's speech-recognition service. Where live recognition is unavailable, a short microphone recording is sent over HTTPS to our Vercel speech endpoint and forwarded to Google's speech-recognition service for Sinhala transcription. The application does not intentionally store recordings or transcripts, and the speech endpoint marks responses as non-cacheable. Do not dictate confidential or sensitive information if this processing model does not meet your needs.
The Listen button uses the speech engine available on your device and does not intentionally send the text to an application-controlled text-to-speech server.
